EEOC Issues Proposed Rule on ADA and Wellness Programs

On April 16, 2015, the EEOC released a proposed rule that provides long-awaited guidance on how the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) applies to employee wellness programs. The proposed rule includes parameters for permissible wellness program designs under the ADA, including the amount of incentives that can be offered.
